Payment delays – one of the main causes of bankruptcy businessmen

Despite the good economic situation in Poland, the number of business bankruptcies is increasing. The research carried out by Karella Research commissioned by BIG InfoMonitor shows that managers from the SME sector as the cause of the growing number of businessmen bankruptcy pointed primarily to: unsuccessful investments, payment delays, as well as bankruptcies of their contractors. Delays in payments are a special problem for the Polish economy – Sławomir Grzelczak, CEO of BIG InfoMonitor, points out that businessmen often do not realize that unpaid receivables amounting to 20-30 percent. annual income may lead to bankruptcy. The data from the Credit Information Bureau and BIG InfoMonitor shows that the largest delays are held by trade, construction and processing companies.
