According to the data from the Court and Economic Monitor, in June as many as 108 announcements concerning the declaration of bankruptcy or the opening of restructuring were published. 60 companies were declared bankrupt, and 48 were subject to restructuring proceedings. Compared to the same period last year, the number of insolvency proceedings increased by 60%.
Most insolvent entities conduct business activity related to trade and construction. Due to the constantly rising costs of salaries and office supplies, as well as the low indexation of amounts on contracts, entities operating in the latter sector perform much worse. Increasing payment bottlenecks do not improve the situation.
Experts predict that the number of proceedings against entities operating in the construction industry will increase.
