On August 6th 2018, a creditor’s motion to declare Energopol Szczecin bankrupt was filed with the Bankruptcy Court in Szczecin. The creditor submitted the application due to the Company’s unpaid liability resulting from the delivery of materials for road reconstruction, including S3 and A6.
Energopol Szczecin is the main contractor of the Wałcz bypass.
In addition, on 3 August 2018 GDDKiA selected the offer of the consortium of companies Porr, Porr Bau, Gulermak and Energopol-Szczecin for the construction of the tunnel in Świnoujście and considered it the most advantageous. At present, due to the situation of Energopol Szczecin and the increase of the contractor’s prices by 30%, it is unknown whether the consortium will sign the contract due to its possible unprofitability.
