Doctors with debts

According to the calculations of the National Debt Register (KRD), the current debt of the private health service amounts to PLN 100 million.

The average debt per 1 medical entity in 2014 was PLN 11,000, and in 2019, it already amounted to PLN 46,427. In turn, the number of indebted clinics and doctor’s offices increased from 904 to 2164. According to the President of the National Court Register, the above results from the fact that medical entities are investing in modern technologies to satisfy their customers.

The main creditors of entities offering private medical services are banks (PLN 53 million), debt collection and securitization companies (PLN 28.5 million), leasing companies (PLN 2.8 million), companies offering telecommunications services (PLN 2 million), lenders (PLN 1.9 million) and companies offering factoring services (PLN 1.8 million).
