The number of declared bankruptcies and open restructurings is not subject to further growth

According to the Coface report, the number of open restructurings and bankruptcies in the first half of 2018 and in the first half of 2019 was the same at 467. This means that the period during which the number of bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings continued to increase was interrupted.

18% of companies for which restructuring proceedings were opened and bankruptcy was declared came from Mazovia. Most of the insolvent-related proceedings are conducted for companies with several or more years of experience. On the other hand, 45% of the companies did not operate for more than 10 years, and the companies established before 1989 constitute 6%.

The authors of the report indicated that among restructuring proceedings, the largest increase was recorded in accelerated composition proceedings. However, taking into account all insolvent-related proceedings, 57% of them are bankruptcy proceedings.
