Threat of insolvency of large companies
A report commissioned by the Ministry of Development and prepared by experts from the Cracow University of Economics shows that the risk of bankruptcy of Polish companies reached the warning level in the second half of 2018.
The data contained in the report shows that despite the good economic situation and an increase in the profits of companies, the risk of bankruptcy of companies employing over 250 people increased by 7.3% during the year. In small enterprises the increase in the risk increased by 7.9%, but due to the fact that the indicated increase was lower than in the previous period, these companies moved away from the high level. In turn, in medium-sized enterprises the risk decreased by 1.5%.
The increase in risk concerned mainly manufacturing companies and services, and decreased in trade.
In the list of risks connected with running enterprises in 2019, the first place was taken by wage increases.
