CDP, the leading Polish video game distributor, files for bankruptcy

The career of the CDP company began after disconnection from the CD Red Project. The company for which they were publishers of games, however, in their portfolio they also had items from other developers.

CDP was also to be the publisher of the latest Red Project CD game – Cyberpunk 2077. However, the decision to postpone the release of the game from April 2020 to September 2020, negatively affected the financial situation of the publisher. It was then that the company began to talk about financial problems. And although the company itself denied that the current financial situation of the company is related to the CD Red Project game there was a lot of media hype around CDP.

The dismissal of a significant number of employees at that time also had an impact on media hype. However, previous financial statements also indicate that the company has been facing significant problems for a long time.

The application was provisionally accepted and the court appointed a temporary court supervisor who will examine the company’s financial situation.
