In April, the number of declared bankruptcies and open restructurings was reduced

From the data presented by KUKE in April 2020. Courts declared the bankruptcy of 30 companies and opened restructuring of 25 companies. This means a 45.5% decrease in the number of insolvencies compared to March 2020. The total number of insolvent entrepreneurs at the end of April fell to 993 entities and was 1.2% lower than in March.

In his comment on the data, the Vice President of KUKE indicated that the statistics do not reflect the current economic situation. According to Tomasz Slagorski, “the impact of coronavirus on the insolvency data will only come to light in the following months, when some of the financially weaker companies will not be able to continue operations and file for bankruptcy”.
