Restructuring of the Nissan concern
A few months ago, the president of the Japanese car concern – Nissan – announced the implementation of a four-year restructuring plan.
As part of the recovery plan, an analysis of the existing activities was carried out and a decision was made to: reduce fixed costs, rationalize and optimize activities, and focus on areas that bring profit. The closure of the plant in Spain and the transfer to Renault of the management of the plant located in Great Britain were also discussed.
It has now been reported that the measures taken so far are bearing fruit. This prompted a reduction in the expected loss for 2020.
