A large number of consumer bankruptcies

The analyzes carried out by the Central Economic Information Center show that the number of announced consumer bankruptcies is constantly growing.

From January to October 2020, 9,672 consumer bankruptcies were announced. In turn, in the entire year 2019, the total sum of announced consumer bankruptcies was 7944. This leads to the conclusion that 2020 is already a record year in this respect. The reasons for this state of affairs can be seen in the changes to the bankruptcy law, which entered into force in March this year and facilitated the declaration of consumer bankruptcy.
