Interested in the Lotos
PKN Orlen is in talks with concerns interested in acquiring Lotos shares.
Since 2018, the process of taking capital control by PKN Orlen over the Lotos Group has been ongoing. Two years later, the European Commission consented to the concentration. However, the Commission made a reservation that 30% of the shares of the Lotos refinery and 80% of the refinery stations must be sold to another concern. Currently, PKN Orlen is in talks with potential interested parties willing to acquire 30% of the assets.
The following concerns have expressed their willingness in this regard: Hungarian MOL, British BP and CircleK, and Saudi Aramco, which is said to have the best chance of finalizing the transaction. Everything is to be decided by the end of March.
