Allianz grows stronger
Allianz insurance company grows stronger.
This is due to the takeover of Polish assets of the British company Aviva by a German insurance company. Moreover, Allianz will also purchase majority shares of companies offering life insurance and non-life bancasurrance products operated jointly by Aviva and Santander. In this way, Allianz will become the second largest insurance company on the Central and Eastern European market.
The acquisition is expected to be gradual and eventually to be completed in a year’s time. The transaction is estimated at EUR 2.7 billion.
