Extension of support

Extension of support

The extension of the support offered under the existing anti-crisis shields has been announced.

Entrepreneurs operating in industries suffering from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic were assured of the extension of the existing forms of support offered under the industry shield and the financial shield supervised by the Polish Development Fund (PFR).

It was also announced that the anti-crisis shields would be extended to industries that had not been covered by the support so far. I am talking about the beauty and commercial industries. Restrictions on the functioning of the beauty industry were in force at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, i.e. in the period from mid-March to mid-May last year. Since then, beauticians and hairdressers have remained open-minded, but have recorded a decline in turnover anyway due to less interest in their services. The Ombudsman for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) called for immediate support a few days ago. On the other hand, the term extending the aid to the trade sector should be understood as shops, primarily furniture and construction shops, which were ordered to close their brick-and-mortar stores for the first time. According to estimates, the funds allocated for the continuation of the aid will amount to PLN 30 billion.
