Consumer bankruptcies are increasing

We are seeing a continuous increase in the number of consumer bankruptcies.

A year has passed since the amendment to the bankruptcy law, which facilitated the declaration of consumer bankruptcy. It is this change that is believed to be the cause of the constant increase in the number of consumer bankruptcies.

In the first quarter of 2021, nearly 4.7 thousand bankruptcies of natural persons were recorded.

This is more than twice as many as last year. Based on the available data, you can create a profile of people who decide to take this step. Most often it concerns people living in the Śląskie Voivodeship, mainly men aged around 50. Experts say this upward trend will continue.
