A real threat of forced restructuring
The threat of compulsory restructuring of another bank becomes real.
For the first time, Getin Noble Bank was subject to compulsory restructuring in January this year. Now making such a decision by supervisory institutions becomes more realistic. This is due to the increasingly difficult financial situation in which the Bank found itself. This situation is the result of problems generated by loans taken in Swiss francs. The bank assessed the provisions for legal risk as low and does not have the funds to conclude settlements with franchisees. All this makes it difficult to find an investor ready to recapitalize the Bank.
It is worth recalling that at the end of December 2020, the Bank Guarantee Fund (BFG) subjected Idea Bank to the process of forced restructuring. We wrote about it here.
