Continuation of the amendment to the National Debt Register

Work is underway to amend the National Debt Register.

In April, the Sejm completed work on the amendment of the National Register of Debtors. The prepared draft was forwarded to the Senate, which considered it last week. The result of the Senate’s work is the introduction of several dozen amendments. The most important changes concern several issues. The first is to postpone the launch date of the National Debt Register from July 1 to December 1. The courts, the Social Insurance Institution and the National Revenue Administration have postulated for introducing these changes, arguing that time is needed for personnel and system adjustments to the register. The second change is the extension of the duration of the act, which introduced the simplified restructuring procedure from June 30 to November 30.
