Lewiatan development plans

Lewiatan development plans

The Lewiatan chain of stores has developed a systematic development plan.

There are many grocery chains on the Polish market. Among them, we can mention discount chains such as: Biedronka, Lidl, Kaufland, Dino and franchise chains, the largest representative of which is Lewiatan (belonging to the Eurocash Group). In this way, a large variety of stores is ensured, the effect of which is high competitiveness, forcing us to constantly develop and modify development plans.

Leviathan is well aware of this. Last year’s development of the chain of stores, which took place through the opening of 170 new stores, was not considered satisfactory. Network representatives assure that this is to change this year. It was planned to continue cooperation with the existing owners of the outlets, who decide to open new stores and take action with new people. In addition, Lewiatan modified its current strategy aimed at acquiring large-area stores (over 150 sq m) and took steps to establish cooperation with smaller locations with an area of up to 100 sq m. In this way, it intends to launch a chain called “Lewiatan on the way” . And it is in “neighborhood stores”, which are small and located close to the inhabitants of a given region, that Lewiatan sees the potential to increase its advantage over discounters. It also plans to focus on the development of private label products that are becoming more and more popular among customers.
