Recent data shows that the number of established companies is increasing significantly.
Data from the Central Register and Economic Activity (CEiDG) prove that compared to last year, the number of applications submitted by entrepreneurs to terminate and suspend their activities has decreased. On the other hand, there is an increase in interest in establishing new businesses.
In justifying the given data, specialists emphasize that the economic situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic has inhibited some industries, including gastronomy, tourism, culture. The consequence of this was the limitation or complete suspension of the conducted activity. This, in turn, forced some people to change industries and try to start their own business. Experts, however, dampen the optimism and emphasize that the period of the next few months will be decisive and will force some to close down their activities. Therefore, they forecast that the number of applications for business liquidation will increase, but the number of applications for business suspension should remain at the current level.
