Carrefour for sale?
According to recent reports, the Carrefour chain of stores may be put up for sale.
This type of information concerns the French chain of Carrefour stores located in Poland and Taiwan. Network representatives did not confirm these reports, but indicated that there are indeed ongoing activities aimed at exploring potential opportunities for “consolidation, sale or takeover of foreign subsidiaries”.
The Carrefour chain has existed in Poland since the late 1990s. During this time, over 900 larger and smaller stores were launched.
It is worth recalling that a year ago the decision was made to withdraw from Poland the British chain of Tesco hypermarkets, which are currently being taken over by the Danish supermarket chain Netto.
