More and more insolvencies

There is a high increase in the number of insolvencies.

In the last six months, the number of insolvencies increased by 160% compared to the same period last year. According to experts, the increase in insolvency observed now is due to several factors. First of all, subsidies granted to entrepreneurs as part of the anti-crisis shields were intended to mitigate the effects of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, which left its mark on all industries. Moreover, the work of the courts in 2020 was significantly hampered. Additionally, new so-called covid restructuring proceedings (simplified restructuring), which quickly dominated the remaining court restructuring proceedings. The indicated reasons postponed the actual perception of the effects of economic problems by individual industries. The following sectors of the economy are most severely affected by negative consequences: services, transport, trade, and construction.
