The difficult situation of eateries

The situation of the gastronomic establishments is described as difficult.

In 2020, i.e. in the first year of the coronavirus pandemic, gastronomic establishments recorded a decrease in the number of customers by nearly 90%. In 2021, the decrease in the number of customers is smaller, but still remains at a relatively high level of 60-70%. As a consequence of this state of affairs, the owners of restaurants and bars decided to close their businesses. It is estimated that the catering market shrank by approx. 5%. It is worth noting, however, that some restaurant employees were not discouraged by the difficult situation and decided to open their own premises.
