Still a lot of confusion about the Bielmlek cooperative

There is still a lot of confusion about the Bielmlek dairy cooperative.

The pending bankruptcy proceedings against the dairy cooperative Bielmlek caused opposition from farmers – cooperative shareholders and farmers who did not receive payment for the milk delivered to the cooperative. The matter became of interest to politicians. In July, it was announced that the first group of farmers would receive support in settling the amount of shares in the amount of 40,000 per one cooperative, and the second group of farmers would receive payment for the delivered goods in the amount of 80% of the unpaid invoice per one supplier. All farmers wishing to obtain the announced support were to submit appropriate applications by mid-August to the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture (ARMA). However, the effect of these announcements is not as expected. Many farmers complain that they will not receive any aid at all. It was not taken into account that purchase milk prices in 2019 and 2020 differed compared to the previous years. In addition, it has now been reported that farmers who have resold their cow herds also cannot count on support.
