PHH acquires Interferie

Polski Holding Hotelowy (PHH) has announced a tender offer for 100 per cent of shares in hotel company Interferie.

Interferie has hotels in Kołobrzeg, Świnoujście and Szklarska Poręba, among others. Almost two-thirds of its shares were held by KGHM Polska Miedź. PHH offered PLN 8.71 per Interferie share.

PHH is a company controlled by the State Treasury. It owns 27 hotels and is the second largest hotel group in Poland. Its strategy envisages acquisitions and consolidations of hotel and leisure facilities owned directly or indirectly by the State Treasury. At the end of last year, it concluded several agreements that strongly broadened its scope of operations. As a result, for example, PGE signed a conditional agreement to sell 10 hotels and other facilities owned by its subsidiary Elbest. PHH may also take over Geovita, which is owned by PGNiG.
