There will be help for companies affected by the war
European Union member states will be able to help companies affected by war in three ways.
The European Commission (EC) has adopted a temporary crisis framework. This will make three types of support possible. One is financial assistance of up to €400,000 with no sector restrictions. Liquidity support in the form of guarantees and subsidized loans can also be offered. The last type of support is energy price compensation. In this case, the amount of aid is limited to 2 million euros. However, in the case of operational losses, it can increase up to 50 million euros.
However, the aid must depend on the scale of the company’s activity and its vulnerability to the crisis. It must also take into account the company’s turnover and energy costs.
Entities controlled by Russia cannot count on the aid.
