Bakalland invests in Purella
Bakalland has announced its intention to merge with Purella, a company offering healthy snacks, whose shareholder is Ewa Chodakowska.
Bakalland’s shareholders and Purella’s shareholders have filed a motion with the UOKiK. Until they have the approval of the office, they do not want to disclose the value and structure of the transaction. Bakalland’s communiqué informs only that the effect will be a merger of the two companies and the creation of a group which wants to be a leader in healthy food in Poland.
Bakalland is owned by Rafał Brzoska and Marian Owerko. They know the Purelli business well, because its shareholder is the bValue fund, of which they are investors.
Bakalland last year had revenue of PLN 505.8 million, 1.5% more than the year before. Purella’s last results are from 2020. At that time it had PLN 23.1 million in revenue, 40 percent more than a year earlier. The company made its market debut in 2017 with BeRAW bars, whose face was Ewa Chodakowska.
