Meat industry in crisis

The Union of Meat Industry Producers and Employers is warning that meat production is becoming less profitable. This is the effect of high energy prices.

Energy costs are rising by several times, and as a result, the cost of doing business for companies in the meat industry has increased by up to PLN 100 million a year. According to representatives of the Union of Meat Industry Producers and Employers, the industry could be hit by a severe crisis. The profitability of meat production at virtually every stage has plummeted. It will be especially difficult for small family businesses to survive.
