Disturbing data

The National Debt Register presented disturbing data on the percentage of declared bankruptcies and instituted restructuring proceedings.

The number of entrepreneurs who open restructuring proceedings and those who are forced to end their business and declare bankruptcy is systematically increasing. Comparing the data taken from the Central Economic Information Centre, it was noticed that the number of insolvent enterprises increased by 26% over the past three months.

Experts agree that problems with maintaining financial liquidity do not start overnight. Certain alarming signs that the financial situation is deteriorating can be observed much earlier. To prove this, experts cite further data. Well, 21% of restructured companies and nearly 32% of bankrupts were listed in the National Debt Register two years before declaring bankruptcy. It is worth noting that the declaration of bankruptcy by one entrepreneur entails a number of consequences, especially for its existing contractors. The most serious consequences include the risk of loss of financial liquidity, which may lead contractors to insolvency and bankruptcy. In this way, the spiral of bankruptcies can wind up. It should be noted that the losses left by bankrupt companies are counted in millions of zlotys.

Data analysis allowed to identify some similarities. It was noticed that among entrepreneurs most often declaring bankruptcy, those operating in the Mazowieckie voivodeship, in large cities, in the form of a commercial law company operating on the production market, most often in trade and construction, prevailed. The profile of companies that decided to restructure in their fight for survival looks similar, with the proviso that in this case sole proprietorships dominate.
