More and more eateries

The number of closed gastronomic establishments is systematically increasing.

Starting from the coronavirus pandemic, through the war in Ukraine, rising inflation to high electricity prices. However, the current situation seems to be the most difficult. Now, the rising costs of doing business are forcing many homeowners to reconsider the legitimacy of continuing to operate. This is confirmed by the data. Last year, the number of suspended business activities increased by as much as 260% compared to 2021. Many owners of catering establishments clearly define their financial situation as bad. This prompted the President of the Northern Chamber of Commerce in Szczecin to raise the alarm, ask the Ombudsman for small and medium-sized enterprises to take joint action and call on the government to react.
