Microsoft slows down

The management of the American technology giant has decided to restructure employment.

The coronavirus pandemic has increased the demand for differentiated products offered by the tech industry. At that time, this industry was one of the sectors with high profits. Currently, however, there is a significant economic slowdown, which has significantly slowed down demand. This translates into the need to make decisive decisions by the owners of technology companies. Decisions to cut jobs have already been made in large enterprises, such as Amazon and Meta. The first company will lay off about 18,000 employees, and the second – about 11,000. Now Microsoft has joined them. Its representatives announced the intention to lay off about 10,000 employees. The departing employees will receive: a two-month notice period, severance pay and the opportunity to purchase corporate shares.
