OSM Końskie will be bought by Polmlek.
The current difficult financial situation of the District Dairy Cooperative (OSM) in Końskie prompted its representatives to start talks with representatives of the Polmlek Group. The result of the talks is an agreement under which the Polmlek Group will first lease and then purchase OSM Końskie.
Observing the recent activities of the Polmlek Group, one can assume that this agreement also fits into its large-scale development strategy. Well, last year it took over domestic companies: Ceko, which produces cheese, and Jagr, which produces butter. Moreover, as part of its international expansion, it acquired the Moroccan dairy company Safilait.
It is worth recalling that over the past few months we have seen many discussions about the dairy industry. Less than two weeks ago we wrote about the financial problems of OSM Czarnków, and even earlier about the takeover of the Jogo cooperative by Mlekpol.
