A popular chain of electronics stores is reporting losses

For five years, the Media Markt chain of stores located in Poland has been recording losses.

Media Markt is a German, international chain of stores offering electronic equipment. In Poland, the first stores of this chain began to open in the late 90s of the last century. They were eagerly visited by customers, so they quickly gained popularity. However, the popularity has been declining for the past five years. This is evidenced by hard data in the form of losses recorded by stores. Only last year, they reached nearly PLN 150 million and were twice as large as the year before. Representatives of Media Markt in Poland declare that in 2022 they took appropriate steps in the form of improving the functioning of both stationary points and online sales. What’s more, they declare that they will continue these activities. Nevertheless, Holding Media-Saturn Polska, which manages the network of Polish stores, was forced to recapitalize its operations in the amount of almost PLN 600 million.
