The redundancies at the dairy in Leipzig herald the liquidation of this plant.
The decision to end the functioning of the dairy cooperative in Leipzig was made by its owner – Grupa Polmlek. Actions aimed at extinguishing the activity of the cooperative, in the form of employment reduction, are currently underway. The representatives of the Group justify their decision by the lack of possibility of further development of the plant, and systematic development is very important to the Group. This is evidenced by the recent decisions taken in the form of acquisitions of the domestic companies Ceko, which produces cheese, and Jagr, which produces butter, and the Moroccan dairy company, Safilait.
