Slowdown in the construction industry

The construction industry is facing problems.

Information about the fall in the prices of construction materials and a large number of orders should inspire optimism. According to experts, however, they do not reflect the full picture of the situation. Well, the drop in prices applies only to certain materials. In addition, it has not even come close to the level before the coronavirus pandemic. What’s more, the currently performed orders are the result of contracts signed a few years ago. It is worth noting that they are coming to an end and there is no directly proportional inflow of new contracts. In addition, the real exponent of the condition of the construction industry is the increased number of bankruptcies. Compared to last year, an increase of as much as 160% has been observed. Industry representatives declare that the costs of operating and problems with valorization deepen this crisis situation.
