Representatives of the popular Swedish music platform – Spotify – announced that the layoffs initiated at the beginning of this year will continue. This time, the employment reduction will affect over 1,500 people. This represents 17% of the current workforce. The head of Spotify declared that the costs of doing business contributed to such decisions.
It is worth recalling that layoffs at Spotify are not an isolated case. Since the beginning of the year, a number of technology companies have already taken the same steps, including: Meta, Microsoft, Philips.
