Whirlpool is slowing down
Representatives of the American company announced mass layoffs.
Last month, representatives of one of the most popular companies producing and selling household appliances – Whirlpool Corporation – announced that they had developed a restructuring plan, which included employment reductions. A few days ago, they announced that as part of corrective measures, they decided to dismiss a thousand employees. It is worth mentioning that in Poland, Whirlpool Corporation has three factories, in Łódź, Radomsko and Wrocław, employing approximately 6,000 people.
It should not be forgotten that in just a month this is another very important information about Whirlpool Corporation. Well, at the beginning of April, it was announced that the transaction concluded between Whirlpool Corporation and the Turkish Arçelik concern, which owns Beko, was finalized. Based on the concluded agreement, a new company called Beko Europe was established, in which Beko holds 75% of the shares and Whirlpool Corporation 25%. Moreover, the American entrepreneur decided to completely sell his operations located in the Middle East and Africa.
