Layoffs in a large chain of clothing stores

The manufacturer of a popular chain of stores offering accessories and sportswear has reduced its staff.

Representatives of OTCE informed that they were forced to restructure employment in the 4F store chain. The reduction process covered 130 jobs. In support of such a decision, the financial results summarizing the previous year were cited. A loss of nearly PLN 17,500,000 was recorded. zlotys. The reasons for this situation were identified as: reduced demand, high inflation and increasing costs of running a business. Moreover, the company’s representatives pointed out that the last clothing collection did not meet with the consumer interest they had hoped for.

It is worth adding that in the ResTrue Report 2023: Restructuring and Bankruptcy in Poland* published two months ago, we drew attention to the fact that representatives of the 4F brand had already reduced their previously developed development plans last year and refrained from further foreign expansion.

* The report can still be downloaded from the main page of the Restructuring Website.
