The Dutch clothing company filed for bankruptcy for the first time last year.
In March 2023, the nearly 30-year-old international clothing chain Scotch & Soda filed for bankruptcy. Ultimately, it did not happen because representatives of the American company Bluestar Alliance announced their intention to take over the Dutch brand. However, now, a year after those events, financial problems have again forced the European part of Scotch & Soda to file for bankruptcy. Representatives of the company declare that this decision applies to branches located in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. At the same time, they assure that they are taking steps to resume operations.
It is worth recalling that last year many representatives of the clothing industry announced the limitation or even termination of their operations. This concerned, among others, international clothing giants with a long history and rich experience: Peek & Cloppenburg, Gerry Weber and H&M.
