The Kielce commercial court issued a decision declaring bankruptcy of the Polish chain of sports stores.
Within 2 weeks (at the end of May and the beginning of June), the Kielce commercial court received two applications to declare the bankruptcy of the Active MG brand. Last week, the court issued a decision in this case. As a result of this decision, the Polish company offering sports clothing and footwear – Active MG – went bankrupt. It is worth adding that the above-mentioned company has existed on the Polish market for almost 30 years. During this time, she managed to establish several stores located in large shopping centers and develop e-commerce activities. However, since at least 2022, it has recorded a systematic decline in revenues amounting to millions of zlotys. As a consequence, it also had problems with settling its financial obligations to contractors. Moreover, as part of the settlement of subsidies granted under the Financial Shield 2.0, it was obliged to return almost PLN 1.5 million.
