A giant fish is born
The finalization of the transaction will make Lisner a fish giant.
Lisner and the Graal Group have been operating on the Polish fish processing market since the early 1990s. The Lisner company specializes in the production of fish preserves, pastes and salads. The Graal Group, on the other hand, is famous mainly for the production of canned fish, smoked products and dinner dishes.
A few days ago, representatives of both companies signed a preliminary agreement. Pursuant to it, the Graal Group is to sell to Lisner part of the assets related to the category of canned fish, ready meals and pickles. On the other hand, the other assets of the Graal Group, focused on fresh, smoked and frozen fish, will not change hands. Representatives of both companies ensure that the finalization of the transaction will bring mutual benefits. Lisner will expand the portfolio of its products, and the Graal Group will gain access to new distribution channels and markets.
Whether the current arrangements will finally be finalized now depends on the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).
