Ursus unsold
No one has submitted an offer to purchase the legendary Polish company.
As of July 2021, the legendary Ursus remains in liquidation. Its value is estimated at PLN 124 million. This amount includes: production plants, machines, devices, documentation and trademarks. It is also worth adding that this amount is at least twice less than the estimated amount of receivables amounting to PLN 308 million. Until last Tuesday (March 12), all entities interested in purchasing the company could express their willingness by submitting an applicable offer. However, no one decided to do so. Therefore, in accordance with the Bankruptcy Law, the trustee will meet with the Committee of Creditors to determine further steps.
The company’s current situation is the result of its deteriorating financial condition over the years. The simplified restructuring proceedings initiated in November 2020 were supposed to cure it. As a result of its failure, in March 2021, Ursus representatives requested the opening of restructuring proceedings. In July 2021, the court dismissed the said application and declared the company bankrupt.
