The Brazilian media group filed for bankruptcy.

On 15 August 2018. Grupo Abril filed for bankruptcy with the Sao Paulo Court.

The media group, which owns the main magazine publisher in Brazil, has to restructure its bank debt to USD 410 million. The petition for bankruptcy filed with the Court covers all the companies controlled by the Civita family, one of the richest families in Brazil.
