Crisis in the aviation industry

The decisions of individual countries to close the borders influenced the functioning of the aviation industry. Their consequence was the grounding of the planes for several weeks. This translated into a decrease in the number of passengers and numerous financial losses.
Polish airports draw attention to the need to deal with the above-mentioned problems, which indicate the lack of promised government financial support. However, government representatives assure that decisions will be made in the coming days to grant aid.

Foreign airlines and airports also face similar problems. The result of a freezing of the airline industry for several weeks is the collapse of the British Flybe, Thai Thai Airways and Colombian Avianca.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts that stabilization of the situation, understood as a return to the pre-pandemic state of affairs, will take place in 2024.
