Since December 1st, the National Debtors Register (KRZ) has been operating. It will streamline and facilitate bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings.
Michał Woś, Vice Minister of Justice, says that launching the National Debtors Register (KRZ) is a milestone in the computerization of the Polish justice system. The system is to facilitate and accelerate the handling of proceedings and strengthen the certainty of economic turnover. Starting from December 1st, all announcements about open bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings will be automatically entered into the system. Information on bankruptcies and restructurings will also be more extensive than in Monitor Sądowy i Gospodarczy.
The KRZ will also include data on alimony debtors. Thanks to that, an employer or a business partner will be able to verify whether a given person meets their obligations.
The Deputy Minister of Justice emphasizes that the construction of KRZ cost 12 million zlotys and was a big challenge. Mainly because practices concerning circulation of documents in various courts were different. The system has been successfully tested and works properly. IT specialists are ready to respond to any technical disturbances. Plug-ins for transferring information between different systems are also constantly being prepared.
