Deferring payments is becoming more and more common

Postponing payments over time is becoming more and more common.

The current difficult economic situation forces entrepreneurs to look for various solutions allowing them to survive and continue to function. One such method is deferring payments. It is used by as many as 94% of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The settlement of current receivables is preceded by their hierarchy. Therefore, liabilities towards employees, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), the tax office and financial institutions are repaid first. On the other hand, receivables for marketing tasks and invoices from contractors are regulated later. In this way, the amount of arrears is systematically increasing, which already amounts to PLN 40 billion.

The application of the above practices may result in payment backlogs, which negatively affect the functioning of enterprises and may lead to their insolvency. We have raised this issue many times.
