PKN Orlen takes over Polska Press

Last Monday, the Polish fuel and energy concern PKN Orlen announced its willingness to purchase all shares of the Polska Press publishing group, which is part of the German holding company Verlagsgruppe Passau.

The president of the fuel concern justifies his decisions with the desire to build his own media house, which is to facilitate the promotion of the concern’s products.

It is worth adding that this is another large transaction that PKN Orlen has recently decided on. Earlier, a decision was made to take over the main Polish press distributor – Ruch S.A. The aforementioned decision is being finalized. PKN Orlen has also decided to take over the Polish capital group Energa dealing in the generation, distribution and sale of electricity.
