The specter of bankruptcy
The specter of bankruptcy is forecast for the HoReCa industry.
The forecasts are based on data taken from the Credit Information Bureau (BIK).
According to it, the debt of companies from the hotel and catering industry amounts to nearly PLN 695.6 million. The owners of these companies declare that the extension of the existing restrictions will force them to declare bankruptcy within the next three months. Moreover, with the new year they have to bear additional costs. They result from the introduction of the so-called sugar tax, increase in electricity costs and purchase of cash registers.
