Tesco will turn into Netto

The consent was given, on the basis of which Tesco will change into Netto.

The contract for the purchase of the British hypermarket chain Tesco by the Danish supermarket chain Netto was concluded in June last year. From that moment until now, both networks were waiting for the approval of the transaction by the office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK). They can now finalize their arrangements. According to them, the Danish chain will take over 301 stores and two distribution centers previously owned by Tesco. In addition, the existing Tesco employees, about 7,000, will continue their work, but under a new name.
