Another industry in difficulty
Vehicle inspection centres are demanding increases. If fees for technical inspections do not increase, companies will go bankrupt.
Such information was given by the President of the Association of Employers of Vehicle Inspection Stations. The amount of the fee for a vehicle technical inspection is determined by the regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure. For a passenger car, it has invariably been PLN 98 since 2004. The branch of vehicle inspection has appealed several times for its increase, but to no avail. Meanwhile, the costs of activity have increased significantly. The President of the Association of Vehicle Inspection Stations Employers says that they are 120 percent higher in total. In view of the jump in the costs of doing business after the New Year and the record inflation, the stations are facing a wave of bankruptcies.
