Play has permission to acquire UPC Polska
The European Commission has approved the acquisition of UPC Polska by P4, the operator of the Play network.
The agreement for the acquisition of UPC Polska was already signed by P4 in September 2021. The value of the transaction amounts to PLN 7 billion. The European Commission’s positive decision gives the green light for its finalisation. Jean Marc Harion, CEO of P4, says the company will use the potential of both organisations to create a strong convergent operator in Poland. P4 and UPC Polska are currently working on signing the final agreement and finalising settlements.
