Will Indykpol be taken over?
The French poultry concern is interested in taking over Indykpol.
Europe’s largest poultry tycoon – the LDC group – signed a conditional agreement to purchase the Indykpol group. In this way, it wants to strengthen its position on the Polish market. Well, three years ago, the LDC group took over the Drosed company, which has been present on the Polish market for over 60 years. Therefore, it should not be surprising that there is interest in Indykpol – an Olsztyn company that is currently the largest Polish producer of poultry products and has been operating on the market for over 30 years. In this way, the French concern consistently implements its international expansion strategy. Moreover, representatives of both companies declare that the prospect of joint development prompted them to start talks about the merger. The transaction is scheduled to be finalized in the first half of 2024 after prior consent of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).
